Our Language Anapaests and Dactyls

You'll find anapaests stroll with a good rhythmic beat.

And they glide on the page on their two rhythmic feet.

Then those anapaests sing diddy DUM diddy DUM

And now listen: they sound like the beat of a drum.

They can dance in the words that you write on your page

And they’re so good for poets, whatever your age.

An-a-PAESTS,  an-a-PAESTS!  You must soak up that sound

And for certain they'll polish your poems I've found.
