A bell that tolls across generations of human thought -
The bringer of good news to those that wait in hope –
The peacemaker who tells you to love those who hate you –
The servant who stoops to wash the feet of other people.
The light that shines in a world covered in great darkness –
The voice that comforts those who feel depressed and unloved –
The way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father but through me.
The resurrection and the life.
Always with you until the end of time;
Your friend because everything that I learned from my Father I have made
known to you.
And yet . . . . I am Jesus whom you are persecuting still today.
