I'M PRONOUN

Hello children! “How are you?

      I’m Pronoun!  Say hello!

They use me to replace the nouns

And to make your sentence flow.

I come with many little names,

     And “I” I call myself,

But you’d say “it” for other things,

Like bike, or book or shelf.

If you refer to someone else –

Then what do you think you say?

Well, her or him - their or them

Should help you on your way.

“I” have another name as well –

The name, of course, is me.

There’s other pronouns you may know

They’re “us” and “he” and “she”.

And lastly there’s another one

     Who, I think you’ll agree,

Takes pride of place above all else -

For both of us are “we".
